I see that we did get a chance to work you while we were out as well. I
remember the location and Q. I have to say that your station sounded great.
You had very clean audio with plenty of power.
Your station and N0DQS were the the strongest sounding rovers that we heard
while we were out and about.
We also had a TS2000 as one of our many rigs along with the ADI 222 FM rig.
It is funny that you talk about the mic. I made the comment went I used the
ADI rig for the first time.... isn't that a Kenwood mic with an ADI label on
it. (It really is a Kenwood mic with an ADI label on it. Compare them and
you will see.)
How many stations did you work on 902 and 1296? I am trying to gauge the
effectiveness of carring the bands across the middle of no where USA vs.
just have the extra bands closer to bigger areas like Chicago, Mpls, Des
Moines, Madison, etc. (I have a 2 day plan that I am working on that would
might have slightly different gear on Saturday vs. Sunday.)
Do you have any pictures of your rover rig from the trip? I will try to
post some from our trip over the next day or two.
It's is great to hear that your trip as almost murphy free.
