[NLRS] Amp suggestions

I have a mirage brick at home that has teh "FM/SSB" switch on the panel. 
 The SSB switch put a 1-s hangtime in the amp before it swtiched back to 
receive.  This of course kept your SSB and CW from being chopped up 
between syllables, but it isn't any good for contests or MS because you 
would miss half of the exchange.  My solution was to put a relay in a 
box that would ground both the rig's and the amp's PTT lines.  Now when 
I push the PTT on the mic, the amp and the rig key simultaneously.   I 
can leave the amp set to "FM" so that when I drop the PTT it 
instantaneously drops back to RX.  There is no surgury on the amp if you 
have an auxilery PTT input.  If not, I imagine you could make one 
without too much trouble.
