Hi All,
I will be on this Saturday and Sunday concentrating on
giving out contacts on the high bands, 902 to 10 GHz.
If the weather is bad, that is it's raining, I will stay home.
I have to setup the equipment in the back of the truck.
Like Donn, I don't like to get wet.
I plan to start in EN35 at the St. Anthony park overlook.
I will work whoever I can on the high bands. After working
from EN35 I will cross the freeway and put on EN34. If needed
I can travel to near your QTH to get the contacts. I will probably
need to do that on 5760. I can do the same thing on Sunday
to pick up anyone who I have missed.
I would prefer to work everyone I can at the same time on each
band. Band switching requires me to disconnect all but the band
I am operating. This means that there will be a lot of LO drift when
I first activate a band. It will be quicker and easier to run everyone
at one time.
I know that Saturday is busy, but I would like to start with 902/903
at about 3PM and then move up the bands. I will be listening on
144.260 for liaison. I can do the same thing Sunday afternoon starting
at 2PM. Let me know if you would like to try a different time.
Equipment the following:
902 6W and 10 el VJB beam.
1296 1/2W and a 10 el VJB beam
2304 1W and a 21 el looper
3456 40mW and a 2' dish
5760 10 mW and a yet to be determined antenna. Maybe a 2' dish.
10,368 The usual.
24GHz WBFM. I there anyone else who has working equipment?
Laser. I can bring them if someone is interested.
I will also have 2M and 432 for sure. Maybe 6 and 222.
Look forward to hearing you all on the air.
73, Gary WB0LJC
