Subject: [BC'ers] FM Simplex Contest . . .

Good Morning:

THE MILWAUKEE RADIO AMATEURS' CLUB has finalized rules for their first
annual VHF-UHF FM SIMPLEX CONTEST. It will cover the four bands above 50 MHz
and is scheduled for Sunday, February 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. It will not
be necessary to be near the Milwaukee Area to compete. The goal is to
introduce folks to the potential of simplex operations and encourage
Technicians to look beyond the rubber duck. The 'test will be run on local
time so anyone from an area with FM simplex activity can send in an entry
and be on equal footing with the Milwaukee locals. If you want the rules,
hints for non-contesters and an entry blank, let me know, [email protected], and
I'll send you an MS WORD attachment.
