...... and, IMHO, 222 is the premier VHF band ..... tropo is better than
2m, AU is nearly as good, antennas are 2/3 as big but dimensions aren't
overly critical (ie; big gain on 12' to 15' of boom), and for some reason
its the lowest band allowed during the UHF contest (but its really a VHF
band).
