[NLRS] Leonids Meteor Storm

John and others on the list, here is my 2 cents worth.

I would put little effort into WSJT during the peak period of the shower.
If it is anything like last year, and its supposed to be better, I would be
sitting by the radio on SSB. Last year 2M was like 20 Meters during a
contest for about 2 to 3 hours. There are plenty of rocks before and after
the shower peak for WSJT.

However, if your trying to do some extreamly long distance, or trying say
like 222 or 432, WSJT may be your best bet.

So, if your 2 meter antenna is not up, I would concentrate my efforts there,
even if its just temporary. This "storm" will be the last one for our
lifetime, not even 33 years from now is the Leonids due to storm. This of
course is based on data from the Astronomy Gurus, but they have been right
on the last two years since they improved their "models" of the debri paths
that the earth will pass thru.

Can any other ping jockeys validate / confirm or have better suggestions?

The Gemides Shower in December would be a good one to do with WSJT as well.
After that....its on and off till spring, but still doable via WSJT!

73 and good luck!
