Dont forget, DEMI offers a simple mimic kit that one can have seperate from
the transverter, thus not modifying and keeping it setup for most stuff.
Just put the mimic in line (an extra BNC cable is all it adds )with the RF
drive cable out of the IC-735, apply 12 volts and your all set.
I use a similar setup for my FT-1000MP to drive the transverters. Its
transverter port output is very low and have used the mimic kit on it for
almost 3 years now. Pretty good for about 10 bucks worth of parts!
Good luck Bill and CU on 222!

PS - Bill, I will be deer hunting up in EN37 - grand rapids area next week.
Will be up on a mine pile Friday afternoon with my 2M HO loop and some other
stuff, perhaps 6M too. Keep an ear out for me. Im scoping some good
microwave spots!
Also, I will be brining my FT-817 to my tree stand with a dipole! CW is
pretty silent with earbuds! Should not scare the deer too much!

Bill,
I also have a IC-735 that I will be using as an IF for a DEMI 222 XVTR.
The Icom 735 transverter output is indeed lower than that of most rigs.
There are provisions in the DEMI 6,2,220 & 432 transverters for adding an
extra MMIC to boost the low power to the proper level.
Either talk with Steve or there is also a DEMI mailing list:

Hope this helps. If you need more help, let me know and I can dig up my
schematic.
