Hi all
Six Meters was open from here for a couple of hours yesterday morning and
then again for 4 hours last night. I worked 179 stations in 107 grids during
that period. Only Arkansas was new, even though stations were worked from
Washington state to Florida.

I'm not sure how interested I am in being a DXpedition operator after last
night! I now am starting to remember in the "old days" why I turned the 6
meter rig off when the band opened up!
Set up camp on 50.135 and answered calls non stop for 3 hrs of the time
starting east and trying to sneak the beam around to the west hoping to work
something new. Beam direction was often not a factor with stations calling
off the back and sides. Most signals S9 and stations 5 or 6 deep calling as I
worked through the pileup.
With the recent solar activity it may be an interesting weekend. Still no AU
as of noon Friday! Hummm what will 6 be like for the contest??
