Hi all.
Jim, K0KFC and Gary, WB0LJC, got on from the
Burnsville site, while Bob, W0AUS, and Lenny, K0SHF,
got on the air from the St Anthony site.
Nice day for 10 gig work. Temp was about 40 degrees
with a nice cool wind blowing in. Wind Chill was below freezing.
At least the dishes didn't blow over. Because of the weather
Jim and I didn't try the Flying Cloud or the site in Chaska
as we had hoped to.
Jim was able to make his first 10 GHz narrow band contact
with Bob. Jim has done a very nice job putting together the narrow
band equipment, just like he did on his wide band equipment.
We also tried some bounces off of the buildings on wide band.
Nothing was heard on either end. I received a signal, but
it didn't originate with Bob or Lenny. There is a 10 GHz source
some where near the Burnsville site that gives nice returns.
It peaked up to the SE.
Lets hope for warmer weather and a chance to try some new
locations in the near future.
73, Gary WB0LJC
