Hi,
Weather and seas permitting, a group of us will be operating from
St. Paul Island (CY9, grid square FN97) beginning this weekend.
We plan to be set up late in the day on the 29th (UTC), and will
operate through July 7th (take down Sunday evening, local time).
There will be a station on HF, but several of us will be concen-
trating on 6 and 2 meters.
We will have a transmit frequency of 50.157 on 6 meters. That is
the ONLY frequency we will transmit on. We plan to operate split,
listening up 5 kHz. Please don't call us on 50.157 -- we won't be
listening for callers on that frequency. Modes of operation on 6
will be CW and SSB. We plan to have the station manned from 1000
to 0300 UTC daily. There will be a breakable CW beacon running if
the band is quiet. Equipment will consist of a 40 ft. boom yagi
and 800 watts.
For 2 meters, I plan to be operational on FSK441/WSJT on 144.140
daily from 1000 to 1300 UTC (longer if there is sufficent interest
and activity). I will transmit during the 1st period at all times.
The station will consist of an M2 18XXX yagi and 500 watts output.
I plan to work stations less than 1200 miles distant on a random
basis.
I am willing to make a few 2m WSJT skeds will better equipped
stations in the 1200 to 1400 mile range. I will be leaving this
Thursday afternoon, so please respond promptly if you would like
a sked.
We will also have 2m SSB/CW capability. For the time being, I plan
to be on 144.200 when not operating WSJT. If you have a better
suggestion, please email me.
