234 contacts and 29,318 total points

WOW, what a difference 6 meters and some "Es" make on a contest score!
This was a new K0AWU high for sure. My previous high was June 2001 at
4056 pts. I guess I should have been on 6 meters FOR THE CONTESTs,
long ago?? !!

6 tried to open for real all day Saturday, but mostly stations were worked
by "fits and starts" from here. The best "E's" were in the final 1 3/4 hrs into 7
land. I worked 37 "7's" in 18 different girds. Washington, Montana, Idaho, and
Colorado for the most part. I was able to find a frequency and let most find
me which really helped. That was from about 8pm local to about 9:45pm.

Thanks to all the rovers. KB0ZKX/R and I had a "clean sweep" on 6,2,432
and 1296 from EN36, 37, 46, 47. Their 1296 was GREAT!!! SSB everytime
and with an easy signal strength to work. Jim must know some
GREAT locations in this direction. W0AMT/R worked on 6,2,432 from
EN36,46,45, thanks for the direct calls Jon. Other than Brook KG6GMT/R
EN36,37 and Jim KB0CIM/R EN36, these were the only "non E" rovers
worked. Thank you fellows again!

Nothing worked out of "local" VE land other than VE3EXT, Scott in EN39.
The weather on Sunday was bad up there and they would be looking through
the thundercells. The QRN was horrid up that way, I know until late Sunday.

Nothing from KM0T, N0DQS/R or Pat and Tim, ouch!! Hard to believe.. Few
were worked again from Wisconsin; W9JN in EN54, W9RAY in EN45 and
KB9UZV, KB9PJL EN44 were exceptions.

I hope you all had LOTS of signals from EN37. More of us were on than
ever before. John KC0KVD was working his first contest ever. John is a new
ham and bought a TS700 2 meter allmode rig and amplifer BEFORE he ever
even looked at an FM rig!! He is our kind of guy :>))

AS usual the contest was a real blast and many thanks to all that looked
our way. Now I see the conflict so many have had in the past to work 2
meters when 6 was open at all.
