As some of you may know, two of our group have completed the requirements
for VUCC on 10GHz!!  Congratulations to Gary, W0GHZ, and Jon, K0FQA. Bob,
W0AUS, needs only one more grid.

With their help, we're planning on getting together and doing VUCC on 10GHz
for the rest of us.  We WERE going to make final arrangements after the
monthly breakfast on the 15th, and then DO IT on Sunday, the 16th.
HOWEVER, it was pointed out a couple of days ago that Sunday the 16th is
Father's Day, and that there may be family plans.

SO, the NEW PLAN is to do it AFTER the NLRS Breakfast on Saturday, 15 Jun.

We will be operating from a spot near Monticello, with Jon and Gary going
to the EN25/EN36 and EN24/EN35 corners.  The longest path is maybe 55 - 60
miles.  It will take about an hour to get there from breakfast, and maybe 2
hours to get the necessary Qs from five grids.  At the moment, Jon will be
in place and ready at 11:30 AM near Lastrup, MN.  (Not sure if its EN26 or
EN36 to start.)  We hope to get both grids.  We'll also use either the
147.015 (Collegeville) repeater, and/or 144.260 SSB for liasion.  (I'll
have a small beam with me, just in case, as well as 40m.)

Gary will be down south, near Winstead, and should be able to give us EN24,
EN25, EN34, and EN35.  (Of course, we can work EN35 ourselves from
Monticello.)  All in all, we should be done by about 2PM, and on our way
home.

Also, the reports are that signals were very good when these paths were
worked before... which means that there's a good chance even the 10mW-class
SSB/CW stations can finish VUCC from Monticello.  (Sorry, but at the
moment, WBFM stations are NOT being supported in this effort.)

So, bottom line:
Saturday, 15 June, after the NLRS breakfast, we'll be doing VUCC on 10GHz.
We'll have maps, etc., on how to get to the site near Monticello at
breakfast.  (If you won't be able to make it to breakfast, let me know...
I'll get you a map/instructions to Monticello.)

Don't forget to bring your log book!
