[NLRS] Goals for 2002 10 GHz Cumulative

Hi all.

Here are some goals that we can try to reach during the 
upcoming cumulative contest.

1. Get everyone with operational equipment, WBFM or NB, 
     to put it on the air for a few hours.

2. Have enough operators to put every one of the loaner rigs 
    that we have on the air. Between us there are quite a few 
    extra WBFM rigs. We may need some extra promotion here.
    A rough guess is that there are 16 NB units and 17 or more 
    WBFM units. That's a lot of uniques.

3. Get everyone who operates to send in a log. We had 18 stations 
    on the air last year, only 12 sent in logs. We still had 10% of the 
    total entries in the contest.

4. Get 20 + logs sent in from MN. See #3 and 4.

5. Increase the number of long contacts, 100 kM+, 20 or more, and
     make some contact that are 200kM or longer.

6. Two days of operation across Lake Superior, with 11 sites
     worked on the MN side. 

7. 200 contacts during the two weekends. This may seem like a lot, but
    Lenny and I had 100 last year and Bob and Donn were over 80.
    If we can operate for two days at Lake Superior with 11 operating
    locations along the North shore, and if we have 4 operators on each 
    side, we can have 176 contacts (11 x 2 =22. 22 x 4 = 88. 88 x 2 =
176).
    That still leaves the second weekend to get to 200. A total around
200
    should get everyone in the top 10 for QSOs. Maybe we can't get in
    the top 10 in total score, but we can still make an impression.

8. 10,000+ point total. If we can make all the contacts listed in #7, a
two
    day total of over 13,000 should be doable (1600 pts per person per
day).
