Hi Jon,
You really need to get 10GHz NB if you're looking for something
"interesting." On the other hand, if you don't like frustration, DON'T.
The EN15 spot (Sisseton) IS a good location. The tower is 75' or so tall,
and its at 1675 ASL. I thought that it would be possible to get VUCC there
with WBFM. I've since chnaged my mind (our WBFM stuff isn't good enough),
but it should be easy for NB.
31 mi. to EN16 (3 SW Hankison, ND; I-29 Exit 8) LOS!
64 miles to EN26 (5 mi N of Elboe Lake)and at 1275'. An old "gap-filler"
radar site. (Only marginally beyond LOS; first Freznel zone may get us.)
61 mi. to hills above Morris in EN25 (VERY close to LOS)
71 mi. to the corner of EN14/EN25 near Dawson. SHOULD be able to get EN14,
EN24 both from the area. (Very close to LOS)
The problem is that it taks a LOT of driving to get there, and between
places. But is sure is do-able.
