[NLRS] Aurora '02 Problem

For the last week and a half I've been under the weather. As a result, I
missed a bunch of things (such as the Contest), and didn't get others done
as I should have (such as plans for Aurora '02).

Going over the last several days' e-mails, I find a bunch of people
offering help, asking questions, etc., all of which have been unanswered.
I apologize for that, and will get caught up as soon as I can.

One bit of Aurora '02 business that is being answered out of sequence is a
real problem for us:

We don't have a place to hold Aurora '02 !

We had been hoping to go back to St. Christophers' where we were last year.
Unfortunateatly, the facilities are not available ! The ONLY date
available which is close to the 27th of April is May 4th... and I suspect
that's the date of the Duluth Hamfest.

(I have just spent 1/2 hour trying to find something about that on the
internet... with no luck. If anyone KNOWS, or can find it on the internet,
and can confirm the May 4th date, please let us know. Thanks.)

I'd say we have two options: one, stay at St. Christophers' and go on May
4th, despite the possible confilict with Duluth; or keep the April 27th
date, and look for another place!

If anyone has any ideas as to where we could hold Aurora '02 on April 27th,
bring up. You all have an idea of what we need: room for the antenna
ranges, flea market and parking. Meeting facilities for maybe 70-90
persons that can be darkened for presentations. Maybe a smaller second
room for workshop/noise figure work. Available from 0900 to 1800 on that
Saturday. Places "nearby" for lunch. Low to modest costs.

I guess posting pro and con on any or all of this over the weekend is
appropriate... lets try and have a consensus by MONDAY, JAN 28TH. If some
one would bring it up on the Sunday night nets, that would help out a lot.
Thanks.
