Thanks for the contacts - it was wild!!
We got home at 2:45 AM and pulled the radios and hit the sack at 3:00 AM.
Sorry we got there latter than planned - but one vehicle had a locked parking brake on Saturday so only worked local grids till he got that fixed.
Good news was no major radio failures.
I apologize for my poor signal on the way out to the four corners. We had inadvertently blown the fuse in the charging lead from my vehicle to the 105 A-H float batteries so we ran most of the contest on battery power (is that a new class Rover/Battery?). And they werer running flat. Radios don't like 8 volts on key down!!
Of course the repair kit was left at home.
Fortunately a friendly Minnesota resident stopped to ask if he could help. I asked where I could get 20A blade fuses because the other rovers run the round ones.
He had 20A blade fuses in his pocket!
"God looks out for madmen and fools" and rovers have to be a little of both.
Also sorry about the lack of capability on 2304. I only had 40 milliwatts out and N0LNO/K0DAS had 100 milliwatts. KA0YSQ had a whopping one watt. I had planned more but you know how that goes.
Full report when we can think straight.
