[NLRS] 706mkII

Has anyone had any problems with a 706MKII ? I have one that refuses to
reset its CPU, I can reset it but as soon as I turn it off and back on
it all comes back just like I didnt reset it? Also I have very week SSB
audio, HF seems ok but 6M and 2M is real bad FM power is good but still
week audio. I was hoping to reset it to factory defaults by resetting
the CPU but it will not work. Any other suggestions?

How about a service manual for one? I can get my hands on the manual for
the plain 706 but it is differnet.

Recieve is also very poor on 2M and 6M but thats been normal, anyone
know of any enhancments for that? I dont use it on 2M or 6M other than
for a IF rig but would be nice for mobile operation. I know by modifying
the band pass filter on the original 706 reciever sensitivity was
increased outside the 2M band but didnt really see any improvments on 2M
after doing it just much better outside the band 150-160Mhz etc.
