OK folks... here is the plan for our latest rover adventure assuming that we
don't have a blizzard to deal with.
Saturday
1:00pm - 3:00pm Stationary from EN21, EN22, EN31, EN32
3:00pm - 5:00pm Mobile from EN32 and EN33
5:00pm - 6:00pm Stationary from EN33
6:00pm - 7:15pm Mobile from EN33 and EN34
7:15pm - ???? Stationary from EN 34
????? - ???? Mobile from EN34 and EN35 (On the way back to the QTH)
Sunday
Morning - EN36
Lunch time - EN 35
Mid Afternoon - EN 25
Late Afternoon/Early Evening - EN24
We plan to be carrying 6m, 2m, 1.25m, 70cm. (Sorry, no 1296... the project
is not done yet.) We will using beams except for 6m. (Sorry.... 6m is a big
antenna to fuss with in the dead of the winter. The 6m loop is already
bolted on for the trip.)
KC0LBT/R should be able to have someone on the air or listening pretty much
all the way through the times listed since we will have two people for the
trip. I also hope to run a voice keyer during the contest to attract more
attention when things are quite.
Unlike the September contest, we will have the ability to work while mobile
and should be point north into EN34 and EN35 during the drive times on
Saturday.
As we get closer to the big weekend I would be willing to setup Scheds for
anyone that wants to try to be that organized.
I think that we are going to stick to the Saturday schedule pretty closely
this time. (I found that it was challenging in September out in the middle
of no where to stick to my schedule... I always wanted just one more contact
from that grid.)
If it appears that weather is going to be really snowy I will post some sort
of alternate plan assuming we can find someplace in the upper Midwest
without a blizzard. (I have taken the time off from work... so I am
committed to making this happen.)
