I have to agree with Duane, guys.
Personally, I would go with "rare" grid square, all things considered.
As for Duane's "sticks" and "boonies" comments....Try VHF contesting (or any
other VHF operations for that matter) from DN47 in central Montana! 200 mile
radius is occupied by 55,000 people and 100,000+ cows.
No matter which way you decide to go... HAVE FUN! and enjoy each other's
company. That is what will be remembered years from now. (Unless your
antennas come crashing down like K7XC in June!)
