W0ZQ is right on money about being outside of metro area.

As a rover I can tell you that it can get pretty quite once you leave the
population base. Are you looking for a good score or are you looking to have
a good time and hand out some points? (You could also consider roving....
the best of both worlds.)

People in the metro areas are always happy to hear about stations outside of
EN34/EN35.

After having spent a little time roving across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa
there is a pretty big increase in on-air activity near the Twin Cities and
Milwaukee/Chicago areas.

Personally I am planning to rove through EN21, EN22, EN24, EN25, EN31, EN32,
EN33, EN34, EN35, EN36.

The UHF/VHF contests are much different than the HF contests. The Q's per
hour is much lower.

I hope to hear you on the air!

 We are considering two choices:

   a) My house in Inver Grove Heights (near Concord), which has 80+ foot
"hills"
both to the east and west. (I'm in a valley.) or

 b) A trip to a cabin 15 miles west of Little Falls, MN (en25). I need to
take a closer at a topo map, but it looks like more favorable terrain.
