That's a nice page of links and laser comm info. My main sources of info
were the K3PGP and AA1A web pages plus other links from them. And of course
the laser email reflector.... 

I'll have to look for the laser module to see what it does. I know they had
a 35 KHz infrared receiver module but I haven't looked at their parts in so
long, I hadn't seen a laser diode module.... But these days light pens are
usually under $10 anyway.
