Maybe we could get a few of us together and build a few sets of gear. It
would be fun to get all of the parts, a prototype and get a few of us
together for a small club building event some evening or maybe on a weekend
sometime.

I think that we could get a enough people to have a fun little event. It
would be neat to add another band.

I wonder what the level of diffaculty is to build the two different designs.
It would be that the CW system is pretty straight forward compared to a
design that would support sound card modulation.

Granted the sound card idea would give us the ability to work longer
distances and more room for alignment error while still making the QSO.
