The only thing one can do is to operate the heater voltage only (no
plate 
voltage applied) for approx. an hour or longer.
This helps remove some of any residual gas molecules that might be
present 
in a tube that has been in storage for a long time.
You should blow a little air on the base of the tube during this
procedure 
to assure that the temperature does not get too high.
Otherwise there is no special treatment necessary for the tubes before 
operating them in the circuit.
