[NLRS] DEMi 1296 XVRTR For Sale

Dear Friends -- We are now redundant in the 1296 department. So, the Down 
East Microwave Transverter is for sale.  You can check it out on the DEM 
website.  This one runs 3 rompin' stompin' watts.  It was good enough to make 
4 easy contacts with K4TO in the UHF contest from a four grid corner.  About 
400 miles.  The antenna used was a 6 foot boom looper.  To show you how high 
the antenna was mounted on the car...well, it was good that we were next to a 
soy bean field.  August corn would have gotten in the way!

There are several transverter i.f. suggestions on the DEM website if you are 
new to this, but it's easier than you think.  

This unit has been used in the car.  It gets nestled into the space opened up 
when the back seat arm rest is pulled down.  So, it's not all banged up.  It 
was working fine two weeks ago in the UHF contest.  We will ship it to you
