[NLRS] 10GHz plans for Saturday 17 Aug

Ever have one of those days ?  Our server systems took a disk hit
(catastrophic !) at 0836 this morning.  Had the network, etc., back by 0930
EXCEPT MS Mail server.  As of 4:30 PM mailboxes were still not available,
and it loks as if everything will have to be reverted to last nights'
incremental backup.

Oh, well.

This was supposed to go out this morning during Coffee Break.  Best laid
plans and all that.

Bob, W0AUS and I will spend early Saturday morning in Central MN, moving
toward the Metro in late morning/early afternoon.  We'll be on 144.260 USB
for liasion, but with only a small beam (4 el), and maybe nothing more than
an FT-817 (5w).  I'll also have 146.46 in the car, but we already know that
FM simplex mobile doesn'tr work over these distances.

On 10Ghz, we both have 18" dishes and DEMI XVRTs.  Bob have will have 2W
TX.  I'll have 1W TX.

At this time, its 3PM local.  We WILL move to SE MN _IF_ there's someone to
work.  Cannon Falls, Vasa, Red Wing, would be a good set of locations.

I would guess that Sunday we should make plans to get together in the
Mounds Park/Hastings area and work WBFM, etc.  Mounds Park to the Capitol
Overlook for equipment checks and uniques.  For DX points, Mounds Park to
Idell is easy; MP to New Trier and & Cannon Falls can be done.  Jacobs Ave
to Red Wing can be done, too.
