Hi Gang,
Well, another Aurora has come and gone and I think a great time was had
by all. Unless of course, you consider the flea-marketeers who peddled
their wares out there in the sleet and rain that continued all day. We did
have to cut out the outdoor antenna measuring but even at that, measurements
were made on antennas from 1296 on up, on a range set up inside the
facilities. Speaking of the facilities.... Was that a great place for
getting together, or what? I wouldn't mind doing that again next year if it
could be managed.
Before I go too far, I think Donn and the group did a fine job setting
up the talks, running the antenna range and doing noise figure measurements,
etc. Everything seemed to go very smoothly. Great job, guys!
In addition, each year our speakers seem to have timely topics to cover
and this year was no exception. Everything from software projects to DX to
new modes and receiver specifications. For those of you who couldn't make
it, you missed a really great get-together and a chance to eyeball with the
gang.
Again, congrats to all, and looking forward to Au2003,
Bud
