Hello Fellow Hams in NJ Clubs!

This is Tim, N8LXR, in Philadelphia, originally from the sandy shores of 
Wildwood, NJ!

I am helping the Englewood Amateur Radio Association promote the 2002 NEW 
JERSEY QSO PARTY, which will he held on August 17th and 18th, 2002.

I am asking all New Jersey Ham Radio Clubs to read the following announcement 
at their club meeting and during any on-air nets they may be hosting:

  NEW JERSEY QSO PARTY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL NJ HAM RADIO CLUBS
FOLLOWS................


"ALL NEW JERSEY HAMS ARE CORIALLY INVITED TO PARTICIAPTE IN THE
2002 NEW JERSEY QSO PARTY.

THE FIRST DAY OF THIS YEAR'S NJQP IS SATURDAY, AUGUST 17TH STARTING AT 2000 
GMT, AND ENDS ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 18TH AT 0700
GMT.

THE SECOND DAY BEGINS ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 18TH, AT 1300 GMT AND ENDS ON MONDAY, 
AUGUST 19TH, AT 0200 GMT.

THE NJQP EXCHANGE IS SIMPLE.  FOR NJ STATIONS, SEND A SEQUENTIAL
SERIAL NUMBER AND YOUR NJ COUNTY.

FOR OUT-OF-STATE STATIONS, SEND A SEQUENTIAL SERIAL NUMBER AND
YOUR STATE/PROVINCE/COUNTRY WHERE APPLICABLE.

NJQP ACTIVITY IS FOUND ON THE 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10, 6
AND 2 METER BANDS, PHONE AND CW, WHICH ARE CONSIDERED THE SAME CONTEST.

FOR A COMPLETE SET OF RULES ON THE WORLDWIDE WEB, GO TO

CLUB PARTICIPATION IS GREATLY NEEDED AND ENCOURAGED,,,,PUT THE CLUB STATION 
ON THE AIR FOR NJQP!

EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT A "BIG CONTESTOR" OR ONLY HAVE A
FEW HOURS TO SPEND ON THE AIR, YOUR PARTICIPATION 
IS APPRECIATED AND VERY MUCH NEEDED TO MAKE THE NJQP A BIG SUCCESS THIS YEAR, 
EVEN IF FOR A FEW HOURS....AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A "COMPETITIVELY
ORIENTED HAM " TO HAVE FUN!
