[NJARC] Philco 610 Bullet radio circa 1936

Just started working on this set.  Lots of rotted wiring to replace on both line cord and speaker.  One of the previous owners had added an ON/OFF switch and drilling a hole into the side of the wood cabinet to mount it.  Sure enough the switch on the volume control was not operating,  I removed the control from the chassis and opened it up to spray some contact cleaner into the switch assembly.  No joy.
I noticed that the switch contacts were riveted to the solder contact on the outside of the switch.  I took the chance and soldered these rivets to the solder contact and low an behold, the switch now works!  Now to patch that darn hole in the cabinet!Jim
