The Tighar website <www.tighar.org> has a complete treatise on Amelia
Earhart's radio transmissions, with information on her aircraft radio and
its antenna, and even a schematic of her transmitter.  I have no doubt that
Betty Klenk heard Amelia's distress calls.  Others also reported hearing
them.  Unusual but far from impossible.
