How would the little girl have the details to fake the information? I'm sure that Amelia's exploits were in the news frequently, I imagine it was quite exciting for a lot of people to follow, but would people know where she would be going at that specific time? The city\call sign information? The fact that she was crashing to begin with? Were people tracking her every move in the news with red "Indiana Jones" lines, or was it just known she was going "around the world"? I presume like a lot of things, we may never know for sure, but it's still an interesting story. I spent an inordinate time looking for a 10K resistor, like the 100 ohm and 1000 ohm resistors in the picture? any tolerance. These often show up as +/- 3 %. I even went to Green Brook electronics and went through all the cigar boxes. I bought some 6K on line. It wasn?t long wave - which have used a trailing wire antenna (which would have been in the water) but rather 3mhz and a wire on the roof of the plane.
