[NJARC] Tube Needed

AlNot sure of how relevant this wisdom is but in checking Frank's tube site, it seems that either tube will work.
The tap for the pilot lamp is on pin 3 of the 35Z5 and the other pin assignments are the same in both the 35Z4 and the 35Z5.  One should check the 35Z4 tube socket to verify that pin 3 is not used as a tie point for something else in the radio.
When a pilot lamp is used with the 35Z5, the total voltage rating for the filament is reduced from 35 volts to 32 volts at 150 mA.  So using the pilot lamp with the 35Z5 would increase the voltage on the other tube filaments in the series string, all things being equal.  Who knew?Jim I wonder why people argue over the 10% of their differences and ignore the 90% they agree on?

 I'll check our tube stock on Wednesday.  HOWEVER, I have serious doubts that I;m going to find one.  So, if someone else can get involved, please do so.
 
 The 35Z4 is a 35Z5 without the heater tap for a 6-volt pilot lamp.  Pin-outs are similar, but life of a 'Z5 might be short without the lamp or an appropriate resistor.
 
 Is there any relevant wisdom out there?
