JoeWhat type of antenna are you using?  Wonder if a loop antenna would help separate the overlap of stations on the same frequency?  My first thought was a Beverage antenna but who has the acreage for such a long antenna?Jim I wonder why people argue over the 10% of their differences and ignore the 90% they agree on?

 Subject: [NJARC] DX from Canada

For the last few months, Kathy and I have been listening to CJLV 1570 AM in Quebec in the evening.    http://www.1570.ca/    It has a pretty good signal to us here in Maine.  At times we get XERF 1570 AM out of Mexico.  It makes for some pretty good / interesting listening at times trying to sort the 2 stations out.  English / French / Spanish.  CJLV broadcasts a mix of English and French music, mostly from the 60's though the 80's.  One of the interesting aspects of this station has been the French translations of many of the pop music we heard from the 60's through the 80's.  There are times when they'll do a comparison of the original English version and the French version.
Now, right next to it is 1580 AM CKDO from Oshawa, Ontario, CA.   http://www.ckdo.ca/     All English speaking broadcasting and about as strong a signal to this area are CJLV.  CFZM 740 AM from Toronto isn't quite as good here lately.  http://www.zoomerradio.ca/   I don't know if it's been the conditions or a change in transmission pattern.
I'd like to hear your DX report.  CJLV is pretty directional to the East, but it may be wide enough to reach NJ.
