[NJARC] desoldering station - useful??

Does anyone have any experience using a de-soldering station (similar to 
link below) for restorations?

I know they work well for smaller, pcb, work.  Just wondering if they 
come with larger tips.  Currently using a
plunger type sucker.  It works, but stopping after each joint to expel 
the solder becomes tedious.
