[NJARC] Help needed

I believe the voltage rating for wire is given in RMS volts.  The peak voltage for 300 volt RMS is about 424 volts peak.  So the 300 volt RMS wire insulation should be able to withstand at least 424 volts DC with no problems.  There should also be a safety factor built in to the wire voltage rating so perhaps 500 volts DC would make no difference for a quality wire.  Don't know about the cheaper PVC wire from overseas.
Do you intend to use solid or stranded wire?  Is the plan to use different wire colors or use a single wire color?  I have roll of white wire, 18 AWG stranded, which is probably a lifetime supply for me.  How much do you think you will need?Jim
