[NJARC] tube shield question

Repairing a Belmont 686 where both the 6K7 (IF amp) and 6Q7 (2d det., 
1st audio) have bee replaced with GT tubes and metal shields slipped 
over the tube onto the metal base.

The radio is very alive, but I have not yet done an alignment.  Any 
opinions on the tubes?  Replace with metal tubes, leave the shields on / 
off?

Considering their functions, I really don't think this is an issue?
