Jim and Alex,
I'm waiting on permission to use some of the article in the NEARC newsletter. As it was explained to me, there were multiple contributors to the article and each would have to be contacted. Simply, the idea of it all seems interesting enough for the newsletter with a disclaimer about it's ability to function and credits to the author(s). We might be better off waiting to see if there is an update in the next issue.
Regards,
Joe Devonshire

Jim,
I forwarded your anonymous comments to the editor, who appreciated
them as explaining the challenges of making the circuit work as
Richard described it: "he has gotten it working, just in a way that's
out of spec, which accounts for all the adjusting he had to do. I
think anyone actually trying to reproduce this circuit with 6J5s would
have better luck as indicated." He was going to check with Richard on
that approach and review the schematic, which is now, for better or
worse, in print.
Alex
