[NJARC] First "Story of Television" on TV 1947

This digitized kinescope was tweeted as the only surviving episode of NBC's
Eyewitness program from 1947. I started watching just to see what TV
production looked like in a year when RCA sold something under 200,000 TV
sets. Imagine my surprise when the show's feature is a series of
recreations and re-enactments of landmarks in TV development starting in
1873 and working forward from there.  Needless to say, John Logie Baird and
Philo Farnsworth need not apply, but in any case you should appreciate some
of the props and the expensively dressed sets.  It appears that NBC kept
quite a few bits and pieces in broom closets and dimly lit studio corners:
