Marv\all,
I don't recall being contacted in any way regarding your capacitor needs. This is the first I've heard of it. I'm not sure how you tried (phone, email), or when, but I'm not aware of it. If you attempted to call, I was alerted on Friday my voicemail box was full, and I have rectified that situation. Regardless, apologies for the breakdown, where ever it is.
First, if someone is going down to the museum this week that will be passing through the Bridgewater\Raritan\Somerville area I can give you some caps to pass on to Marv.
Second, as a non-retired, begrudgingly still employed out of necessity 8-5 M-F member of both the work force and the NJARC, I can't make it to Wednesday work days. My schedule is slowly freeing up where I can occasionally make it down to IA on weekends, but that's a recent development, and one I've yet to be able to partake in.
I need you weekly, regular, "retired guys" to work with me when it comes to what values of capacitors are low in the museum stock. I do my best to make it to all meetings and events where the parts will be needed, and make it a point to fill up the boxes when I come down to repair clinics, but i have no insight into what projects you folks are working on for the RTM, or which devices club members are purchasing parts out of the club stock boxes that are left down there. Normally I assume if nobody complains, it's fine, so i'm concerned that it's been mentioned that you've had troubles contacting me and want to correct that.
In the future, if one of the RTM\workshop regulars can just shoot me an email directly on what values the museum workshop boxes are low on, I can arrange to have them filled back up sooner than the usual "when there's a repair clinic\IA-based meeting" schedule I've been sticking to lately.
Apologies if you were inconvenienced in any way. It's not my intention to create a bottleneck in any restoration efforts being carried out at the RTM workshop. With that said, let's work together- help me help you folks. Let me know what's low, and I'll make sure the bins are filled, and your efforts can be spent getting things up and running.
Best Regards,
Matt
