[NJARC] speaking of microscopes......

I got one of those a while back, primarily to examine record grooves, a) to
evaluate the effectiveness of ultrasonic cleaning, and b) to help set the
proper stylus cut depth if and when I ever get my Presto record lathe
restored.  It's a really cheap piece of cr at p (very difficult to set focus,
noise in the image and low resolution) but overall it works surprisingly
well (well enough for many things we'd need to do) and it takes photos and
video. Twelve bucks, including shipping, from china.
