I have plenty of new 8" speakers if that will work.

So the original was not a 6" in that enclosure?

Dave,

OK.   6" is kind of an odd size.  You'll more easily find 4's and 8's.  There is no such thing as a 600-ohm speaker.  He'll need to use the transformer.

He is just looking for replacement speakers of the proper size and impedance. He already has the cabinets.  He's not local to NJ so he's been looking at his local hamfests, but won't be at Sussex.

Thanks!

Dave,

Is he just looking for speakers in general, or does he want radio-specific units like this National item?

A friend of our club is looking for two speakers:

1. A 6" round 8 ohm speaker for a National HRO-60

2. A 6" round 600 ohm speaker for a Collins R-390A

He could use an 8-ohm speaker for the R-390A as he has a matching transformer available.

Please let me know if you have anything in your stash that might help him out.

Thanks!
