To All -
I was aware of it, and knew about the Caddy and Lincoln power plants. Unlike some of the other items from the “Mad Man”, I think he wanted to make a lightweight car that would compete with the Corvette. Never saw one in person, but I’ve seen them go across the auction block for in excess of (6) figures. Corvettes came out in 53, and were six cylinder until 55 when you could get a V8 (265 cu. in.) at about half way into the model year. There were a few other companies trying to make light weight cars in the same era mostly with fiberglass or stripped down metal bodies. I believe the “Muntz” was the only aluminum body of that era.
