I received a email from a person who wants to get rid of the radio. I think its for free but not 100% sure. His name is Robert Wilson and he is located in Holmdel NJ and his email address is rwilson07733 at gmail.com, attached is a picture of the radio. If you are interested, email Robert directly.

Below is what he said in a email:

Hi Sal,

I am sorry if I am bothering the wrong person. I have an Atwater Kent Model 55 Radio with a Model F 4 Speaker which I would like to find a good home for. I rescued it from a barn in 1963. At that time I was able to get it to work, but a few years ago I turned it on and the plates of the type 80 rectifier started glowing, so I quickly turned it off. If I pull out the 80 and turn it on, all of the tubes light up. It at least needs new filter capacitors. The chassis is rusty and the tuning knob does not turn the tuning capacitors. When I was in High School, I used to fix vacuum tube radios and later TVs, so i could probably get it to work, but at this stage of life we are trying to reduce our possessions. Do you think that anyone at the New Jersey Antique Radio Club would like to have it?

Thanks,
Robert Wilson
