[NJARC] CBS Selling Off Radio

They aren't trying to grow the business. That's why they are trying to sell it... They are trying to cut their losses, increase profits to the shareholder, and move on.

Seems to be pretty much the same story for all publicly owned companies.

"progress"... right?

Matt

Truly sad news. They are trying to sell it as "unlocking shareholder value." I remember that excuse when they took a knife to the old ATT AFTER the spinoff of the individual operating companies. They cut themselves to oblivion.

I would like to see a company take an asset like this one and find an innovative way to make it work. You cannot grow by cutting parts of your business, only by innovating and reinvigorating it.

Best wishes.
