Actually, it is very useful. I have two in my antenna tuner. Different make
and much earlier (WWII vintage out of BC375/191) roller inductors are used
in my homebrew tuner that cover from 160 to 6 meters. The tuner is fashioned
after the AG6K design where the unbalanced to balanced transformation takes
place at 50 ohms and then the tuner matches the 50 ohms to my 600 ohm
balanced ladder line to my 290 foot inverted V. Works extremely well. 73 -
