[NJARC] Re-coning a speaker?

I've had good luck patching holes with construction paper, similar to Al's comment about paper towels.  It also looks less conspicuous if you use the black colored paper.

I don't know who that would be, but if he'll recone an electrodynamic
speaker for 30 buck, it's a good deal.   If it's just a matter of holes
and tears, i.e., the voice coil moves freely, then patch it up with
paper towel and rubber cement.

Another alternative is to install a PM speaker, and a choke in place of
the field coil.  You might need a resistor in series with the choke to
bring the voltage down to the right value.
