I had a speaker re-coned about 5 years ago from someone in North Jersey or
New York. I will try to find out who did it but perhaps Al Klass may know.
It was in a 1938 Philco - the speaker was had a field coil so it could not
be replaced. Great recone job and it was about 30 bucks. Well worth taking
the time to find out who can do it. This might have been the place

Hey,
I recently picked up a 1936 Philco Cathedral set with a 144 chassis at the
Columbus flea market. It is in very nice shape, but the grill cloth is torn
and the speaker has a few holes in it. Can the speaker be re-coned or do I
just need a new speaker?

Thanks!
