[NJARC] Thrift STore Parts on a US Navy Ship

When I was a ground radio repairman in the USAF stationed in Athens, Greece,
we had problems with the S-line power supply filter caps failing. They
were back ordered for quite a while and we had quite a few operating
positions not able to be used. I went down town to Athens radio row and
bought a bunch of the caps for something like 50 cents a pop. Got several
power supplies repaired and the station was running on all cylinders! A
week later I caught hell because I used Russian caps in our equipment!

Marv, this may be a good time to tell the story again about how you helped
keep the nuclear power plant going.
