This has been in the works for the last few years. Pop Com and Monitoring Times were talking about this before they went away. AM is all but gone in Europe and SWL is but a whimper of what it was. Just look at the proliferation of Satellite and Internet radio just to see where all of this is going. What we as a generation that appreciates crisp fidelity are seeing, are those who eschew all of that for ear buds!
Just my .02¢ worth.
