Philco made many cathedral radios with shortwave; I've got one or two in the deep recesses of my attic.

Hello Joe,                To my knowledge, some but not many "Cathedral" type sets had at least one shortwave band on them. It's usually the lower band up to 4MHZ  or so. I personally have a 7 tube Patterson Cathedral from 1933 that has it; and think Philco and maybe a few others that were produced around 1933 and on that have at least one shortwave band on them.
Regarding "Tombstone" type sets, Philco and others produced plenty of models that had the entire shortwave band (up to 18MHZ or so) on them.
Best regards,                    Joe Cro N3IBX   On 01/01/16, Joe Connor via NJARC<njarc at mailman.qth.net> wrote: Just remember

Were there any cathedrals with shortwave? I have only a few, but they are all BCB only.

It's unfortunate.  I have a tombstone that I would sell but I can't seem to get it back from Marv.
