Hi all. Here in Eastern PA CHML is coming just fine. Zoomed Radio is sometimes less reliable. Lately the stations located south and west of my location are coming in much stronger. Stations like KXEL and WSB and WWL seem as though they are local. Cubans, too, are very strong. Radio Rebele even can swamp WOR at times. Due to some man-made interference frequencies below 700 don’t come in too clear - lots of interference. Doesn’t seem to matter which radio/antenna combo I use. It definitely has been a strange DX season.

I know it's not a big deal for alot of Jersey people but I'm also able to get a fairly decent signal from WMTR. I agree though, CHML and Zoomer Radio AM 740 have been on the weak side these days.

>>> For some reason, AM DX has certainly been strange the last few months. I have seen that within the last 3 weeks or so, the stations from the “great white north” AM 740, AM 900, and others have not been as strong as usual. Even WKBW-1520 in Buffalo has not been the usual powerhouse. The funny thing is that the stations from the southern US has been unusually strong. WSB-750 in Atlanta has been stronger than AM 740 in Toronto. Another surprise was Monday night while tuning around, Radio Reloj was super strong at AM-790 like I never heard it that strong before. My last 2 weeks DX listening was done on a 6 tube RCA 16T4 radio with a 300 ohm old school twin lead strung out the window 50 foot long, 15 foot high in the backyard. My other antennas are currently grounded due to a storm traveling through the area as I type.
